Check the World Ranking and the Regional Ranking of the Site.

Open http://www.alexa.com and enter the URL of the site and see these major indicators.
1. See the world wide ranking of the site. If it is in thousands that’s good (Ranking is world wide traffic-wise popularity of the site)
2. See the regional ranking of the site. (Only that region is mentioned from where the site belongs)
3. See the name of the region. If it’s any of the European country that may be trustable.
4. See “Site's Linking in” The more are the links the better is the site.

Check Whois Information of the Site.

1. Open http://who.godaddy.com, write the URL of the site and click on “Search” button and check whois information of the site. Remember if the extension is .pk which is not available on http://who.godaddy.com then you better open http://pknic.net.pk, go to “Look up Domains”, enter the URL of the site and lick on Lookup button.
Three things about the site must be checked: The Creation Date, Expiry Date and the Last updation. All good sites that are serious to work usually purchase a domain for the longer time: 10 years 15 years or so. For example www.google.com was created on 15 Sep, 1997 and its expiry date after which they will renew is 14 Sep, 2020. It means Google has a long term policy and there for Google is serious for business.

Check the Page Rank (PR) of the Site.
Page Rank is made because of two things: No. 1. Older is the site, better is the page rank. No. 2. How many back links the site has. More are the back links better and popular is the site. Remember the highest page rank is 10. Google that is on the No.ONE Alexa ranking has the Page Rank 09
1. Open http://www.checkpagerank.net, or any other site for the page rank lookup and enter the URL of the site, give captcha code and click on the check button to see its page rank
2. Open http://www.backlinkwatch.com, type the URL and click on “Check Backlinks” button and see the list of all the backlinks of the site. More the backlinks the better is the site.
Note: There may be very good sites with the zero page rank, like www.textcashnetwork.com and www.wazzub.com etc this is only because of the fact that these sites are NEW, not because they are scam
